Revising Nova Place
There is currently a planning permission for Nova Place, the new scheme has reduced in height and mass and allows us to bring forward a deliverable mixed-use scheme made up of commercial office accommodation, retail, a Westminster library and the listed Sutton House building.
We are currently looking at how Modern Methods of Construction could help deliver the scheme more efficiently and in a shorter timescale. This new proposal places the library at the heart of the scheme overlooking Allington Street and Bressenden Place.
Sutton House was formerly located on Victoria Street and is Grade II listed. As part of the 2012 masterplan we secured listed building consent to carefully dismantle the façade. This will be rebuilt brick-by-brick on the corner of Allington Street as part of our proposals.
Minor changes to Nova East
The consented minor material amendments to Nova East, pivots the building, increasing the amount of space for the public to use. It also incorporates slender V columns around the building’s periphery, creating new semi-internal spaces. An additional two extra office floors have been created within the permitted external envelope without increasing the overall height by relocating the upper plant room levels, delivering a more efficient and sustainable building.
